Scientific focus areas

My work combines methods in brain and behavioral sciences, computational modelling, engineering, and physics to study how humans adapt, learn, and explore in changing environments. My empirical research specifically concerns emotional states, their role in behavioral change, and the function of interoception in shaping conscious learning experience. I apply this research across a wide range of domains ranging from education to health and the arts, informing the design of radically innovative human-centered technologies for interfacing with human emotions.
